About Us
Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC) provides training in acting, screenwriting, and directing for beginners, advanced artists, as well as those that are transitioning into English-speaking markets.
Our school is approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary as a degree granting institution and we offer an associate’s degree program in acting and in screenwriting as well as series of non-degree certificate programs and short-term intensive acting workshops.
Location
Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory is located on the famous Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA.
Santa Monica is a beachfront city in western Los Angeles County, CA, United States. Situated on Santa Monica Bay, it is bordered on three sides by the city of Los Angeles – Pacific Palisades to the north, Brentwood on the northeast, Sawtell on the east, Mar Vista on the southeast, and Venice on the south. Santa Monica is well known for its affluent single-family neighborhoods but also has many neighborhoods consisting primarily of condominiums and apartments.

The Screenwriting School
Screenwriting Classes at Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory
The Screenwriting Classes at the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory trains the artist to be a visual storytelling using the written word. The final goal of the screenwriting classes is a portfolio of several finished scripts for shorts and a feature film script.

The Directing School
Directing School at Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory
The Directing School at the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory trains the artist in the art of visual storytelling through acting, editing, camera work, sound design, production design, and other cinematic tools.Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC) provides director training for beginners, advanced artists, as well as those that are transitioning into English-speaking markets.

Accreditation
LAPAC is accredited with the California Department for Private, Post-Secondary and Vocational Education, which qualifies enrolled international students to receive a Federal F-1 Student Visa.
LAPAC is also a member of the National Association of the School of Theatre and the Drama Teachers Association of California.
Program Start Dates
Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory classes are scheduled by quarters; Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. All students must submit their applications as early as possible, at least 3 months prior to the desired start date.
